     Richard Montagu Villiers was born on 10 September 1905.1 He was the son of John Russell Villiers and Grace Elizabeth Earle.2 He married Nancy Godwin, daughter of Lt.-Gen. Sir Charles Alexander Campbell Godwin, on 9 June 1932.1 He died on 8 August 1973 at age 67.1
     He was educated at Winchester College, Winchester, Hampshire, EnglandG.1 He was educated at Royal Military College, Sandhurst, Berkshire, EnglandG.1 He fought in the Second World War, where he was wounded and mentioned in despatches.1 He gained the rank of Brigadier in the Cameronians (Scottish Rifles).1 He was awarded the Companion, Distinguished Service Order (D.S.O.) in 1944 and bar (1945).1

     From 9 June 1932, her married name became Villiers.

     He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, EnglandG.1 He was educated at Royal Military Academy, Sandhurst, Berkshire, EnglandG.1 He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the 15th/19th King's Royal Hussars.1
