     Captain Hugh Craufurd Keith-Fraser was born on 3 April 1869.2 He was the son of Lt.-Gen. James Keith Fraser and Amelia Alice Julia Ward.2 He married Dorothy Villiers, daughter of Rt. Hon. Sir Francis Hyde Villiers and Virginia Katharine Smith, on 9 July 1904.1 He died on 19 May 1906 at age 37.1
     He was given the name of Hugh Craufurd Fraser at birth.2 He gained the rank of Captain in the 1st Life Guards.2 He was given the name of Hugh Craufurd Keith-Fraser at birth by Deed Poll.2 He fought in the Boer War between 1899 and 1900.2

     She was in the Women's Royal Naval Service during the Second World War.1 From 8 December 1945, her married name became Selby.
