     William Hazlewood lived at Slaugham Park, Sussex, England.¹

     Eliza Hazlewood was the daughter of William Hazlewood.² She married Emilius Clayton, son of George Clayton and Frances Hinchcliffe, on 25 September 1838.¹ She died on 3 December 1886.¹
     From 25 September 1838, her married name became Clayton.

     Colonel Emilius Clayton was born on 17 October 1841.¹ He was the son of Emilius Clayton and Eliza Hazlewood.² He married Ellen Pemberton, daughter of Richard Laurence Pemberton, on 14 June 1883.¹ He died on 25 June 1921 at age 79.¹
     Colonel Emilius Clayton was Vice-Consul at Van, Turkey.¹ He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Somerset.¹ He gained the rank of Colonel in the service of the Royal Artillery.¹ He was Professor of the Staff College between 1883 and 1890.¹ He retired from the military in 1898.¹

     Lieutenant Herbert Radcliffe Hordern was born in June 1892.¹ He was the son of Radcliffe Hordern and Grace Harriet Nesbitt.¹ He died on 23 September 1929 at age 37, from wounds received in action.¹

     Ellen Pemberton was the daughter of Richard Laurence Pemberton.² She married Colonel Emilius Clayton, son of Emilius Clayton and Eliza Hazlewood, on 14 June 1883.¹ She died on 2 February 1947.¹
     From 14 June 1883, her married name became Clayton.

     Emilius Clayton was born on 19 June 1884.¹ He was the son of Colonel Emilius Clayton and Ellen Pemberton.² He married Irene Dorothy Constance Strong, daughter of Colonel T. E. Strong, on 26 June 1915.¹ He died on 10 June 1967 at age 82.¹
     Emilius Clayton fought in the First World War, where he was wounded.¹ He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the service of the Royal Artillery.¹ He was invested as a Officer, Order of the British Empire (O.B.E.) in 1919.¹ He was with the Military Mission to Poland between 1920 and 1927.¹ He gained the rank of Temporary Brigadier in 1939.¹

     Irene Dorothy Constance Strong was the daughter of Colonel T. E. Strong.² She married Emilius Clayton, son of Colonel Emilius Clayton and Ellen Pemberton, on 26 June 1915.¹ She died on 12 November 1971.¹
     From 26 June 1915, her married name became Clayton.

     Michael Thomas Emilius Clayton was born on 15 September 1917.¹ He was the son of Emilius Clayton and Irene Dorothy Constance Strong.² He married Mary Margery Pate, daughter of Dr. J. Roberts Pate, on 5 February 1942.¹ He died on 27 May 1995 at age 77.¹
     Michael Thomas Emilius Clayton was with the War Office between 1939 and 1976.¹ He was invested as a Officer, Order of the British Empire (O.B.E.) in 1958.¹ He was invested as a Companion, Order of the Bath (C.B.) in 1976.¹
