     Emily Hand was born on 11 October 1831 at Marylebone, London, England.2 She was the daughter of Robert Hand.1 She married Maj.-Gen. George Herbert Murray-Aynsley, son of John Murray-Aynsley and Emma Sarah Peach, on 12 February 1848.1 She died on 18 August 1894 at age 62 at Paddington, London, England.1,2 She was buried on 22 August 1894 at Kensal Green Cemetery, London, EnglandG.2
     From 12 February 1848, her married name became Murray-Aynsley.1
