     Sir Clement Clerke, 1st Bt. was the son of Sir George Clerke and Barbara Palmer.2 He married Sarah Talbot, daughter of George Talbot.1 He died circa December 1693.1 He was buried on 10 December 1693.1
     He held the office of Gentleman of the Privy Chamber in 1661.1 He was created 1st Baronet Clerke, of Laund Abbey, co. Leicester [England] on 18 June 1661.1

     Her married name became Clerke. She was also known as Catherine Talbot.1
