     Sir Clement Clerke, 1st Bt. was the son of Sir George Clerke and Barbara Palmer.2 He married Sarah Talbot, daughter of George Talbot.1 He died circa December 1693.1 He was buried on 10 December 1693.1
     Sir Clement Clerke, 1st Bt. held the office of Gentleman of the Privy Chamber in 1661.1 He was created 1st Baronet Clerke, of Laund Abbey, co. Leicester [England] on 18 June 1661.1

     Sarah Talbot was the daughter of George Talbot.2 She married Sir Clement Clerke, 1st Bt., son of Sir George Clerke and Barbara Palmer.1 She died circa November 1693.3 She was buried on 13 November 1693 at Westminster Abbey, Westminster, London, England.3
     Her married name became Clerke. She was also known as Catherine Talbot.1
