     Bernard Coventry was born on 10 December 1859.1 He was the son of Reverend John Coventry and Catherine Seton.1 He married Ella Gordon Dagleish, daughter of Edward Dagleish, on 7 January 1892.1 He died on 26 January 1929 at age 69.1
     Bernard Coventry was Director of the Agricultural Research Institute between 1904 and 1916 at Principal Agricultural College, Pusa, Bengal, India.1 He was invested as a Companion, Order of the Indian Empire (C.I.E.) in 1912.1 He was Agricultural Advisor to the Government of India between 1912 and 1916.1 He was Agricultural Advisor to the Government of the Native States of Central India between 1916 and 1918.1

     Ella Gordon Dagleish was the daughter of Edward Dagleish.1 She married Bernard Coventry, son of Reverend John Coventry and Catherine Seton, on 7 January 1892.1 She died on 9 February 1951.1
     From 7 January 1892, her married name became Coventry.1
