     George Shirley Rawlings was the son of Reverend George William Rawlings.1 He married Margaret Elspeth Lindsay, daughter of Hon. Walter Patrick Lindsay and Ruth Henderson, on 8 April 1938.1 He died on 8 June 1963 at Afghanistan, killed in a motor accident.1
     George Shirley Rawlings was with the Malayan Civil Service.1
