     William Alexander Cochrane Newton was born in 1886.1 He was the son of George Onslow Newton and Lady Alice Laura Sophia Cochrane.1 He married Marion Sanson, daughter of Captain unknown Sanson, on 14 August 1917.1
     William Alexander Cochrane Newton gained the rank of Lieutenant in the service of the Royal Garrison Artillery.1
