Robert Spear Hudson, 1st Viscount Hudson was born on 15 August 1886.1 He was the son of Robert William Hudson and Gerda Francesca Johnson.1 He married Hannah Randolph, daughter of Philip Synge Physick Randolph, on 1 December 1918.2 He died on 2 February 1957 at age 70.1
Robert Spear Hudson, 1st Viscount Hudson was educated at Eton College, Eton, Berkshire, England.1 He was educated at Magdalen College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Cumberland, Whitehaven Division between 1924 and 1929.1 He was decorated with the award of Companion of Honour (C.H.).2 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Southport between 1931 and 1952.1 He was invested as a Privy Counsellor (P.C.) in 1938.2 He held the office of Minister of Agriculture and Fisheries between 1940 and 1945.2 He was created 1st Viscount Hudson, of Pewsey, co. Wilts [U.K.] on 5 January 1952.1

Robert Spear Hudson was born on 6 December 1812 at West Bromwich, Staffordshire, England.2 He was the son of Reverend John Hudson and Sarah Owen.2 He married, firstly, Mary Bell in 1854.2 He married, secondly, Emily Gilroy in 1868 at Dublin, County Dublin, Ireland.2 He died on 6 August 1884 at age 71.2
