     Edward William Bootle-Wilbraham, 3rd Earl of Lathom was born on 16 May 1895.¹ He was the son of Edward George Bootle-Wilbraham, 2nd Earl of Lathom and Lady Wilma Pleydell-Bouverie.¹ He married Marie Xenia de Tunzelman, daughter of E. W. de Tunzelman, on 2 June 1927.¹ He died on 6 February 1930 at age 34, without issue.¹
     Edward William Bootle-Wilbraham, 3rd Earl of Lathom was educated at Eton College, Eton, Berkshire, England.¹ He succeeded to the title of 3rd Earl of Lathom, co. Lancaster [U.K., 1880] on 15 March 1910.¹ He succeeded to the title of 4th Baron Skelmersdale [U.K., 1828] on 15 March 1910.¹ He gained the rank of Captain in the service of the Lancashire Hussars.¹ He fought in the First World War between 1914 and 1918.¹ He was Aide-de-Camp to the Governor of Bombay between 1916 and 1918.¹ On his death, his earldom became extinct.¹
