     Lt.-Cdr. John William Talbot Lewes was born on 22 January 1931. He is the son of Captain John Hext Lewes and Nesta Cecil Talbot. He married, firstly, Mary Georgiana Glyn, daughter of Pascoe Anthony George Glyn and Katharine Florita Grenfell, on 3 April 1954. He and Mary Georgiana Glyn were divorced in 1962. He married, secondly, Margaret Jane Clayton, daughter of Owen Fenner Clayton, on 9 January 1967.
     Lt.-Cdr. John William Talbot Lewes gained the rank of Lieutenant-Commander in the service of the Royal Navy.

John William Talbot Lewes, son of Captain John Hext Lewes and Nesta Cecil Talbot, on 3 April 1954. She and Lt.-Cdr. John William Talbot Lewes were divorced in 1962. She married, secondly, Captain Richard David Somerset Drew-Smythe, son of Colonel Henry James Drew-Smythe and Enid Audrey Cloutman, in 1965.1 She and Captain Richard David Somerset Drew-Smythe were divorced in 1982.1 She died in 1992.1
     Her married name became Lewes. From 1965, her married name became Drew-Smythe.1
