     Emily Florence Lane was born in 1861 at Torquay, Devon, England.2 She was the daughter of Charles Sherriffe Lane and Annie (?).2 She married, firstly, Thomas William Bagnall in 1883 at All Saints Church, Strnaton, Hartlepool, County Durham, England.1,2 She married, secondly, John Edward Plender, son of William Plender and Elizabeth Agnes Smallpiece Vardy, in 1916.1 She died in 1923 at Bangor, Caernarvonshire, Wales.2
     From 1883, her married name became Bagnall.1,2 From 1916, her married name became Plender.1
