     Major Robert Patterson Robins was born in 1857.1 He was the son of Reverend James Wiltbank Robins and Helen Hamilton Patterson.1 He married Mary Routh Ellis, daughter of Thomas de la Roche Ellis, in 1883.1 He died on 6 August 1905.1
     He graduated with a Master of Arts (M.A.)1 He graduated with a Doctor of Medicine (M.D.)1 He gained the rank of Major in the U.S. Army.1 He fought in the Spanish-American War in 1898.1
