     Sir John Anthony Roberts, 3rd Baron Clwyd was born on 2 January 1935.¹ He was the son of Sir John Trevor Roberts Roberts, 2nd Baron Clwyd and Joan de Bois Murray.² He married Linda Geraldine Cannons, daughter of Charles Eugene Cannons, on 20 December 1969.¹ He died on 10 October 2006 at age 71.

     Linda Geraldine Cannons usually went by her middle name of Geraldine.³ From 20 December 1969, her married name became Roberts. As a result of her marriage, Linda Geraldine Cannons was styled as Baroness Clwyd in 1987.
