     Captain Cyril Aubrey Hamilton Brooking was the son of Arthur Holdsworth Brooking.2 He married Geraldine Margaret Joan Coleridge, daughter of Guy Lushington Coleridge and Hester Christabel Margaret Dickson, on 24 April 1929.1 He and Geraldine Margaret Joan Coleridge were divorced in 1946.1 He died on 29 November 1961.1
     Captain Cyril Aubrey Hamilton Brooking gained the rank of Captain in the service of the Royal Navy.1 He was invested as a Commander, Order of the British Empire (C.B.E.).1

     Maj.-Gen. Patrick Guy Brooking was educated at Charterhouse School, Godalming, Surrey, England.1 He gained the rank of Colonel in the service of the 5th Royal Inniskilling Dragoon Guards.1 He was invested as a Member, Order of the British Empire (M.B.E.) in 1975.1 He was invested as a Companion, Order of the Bath (C.B.) in 1988.1 He was invested as a Companion, Order of St. Michael and St. George (C.M.G.) in 1997.1 He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of Wiltshire in 1997.1
