     Roger Collett was born on 14 July 1909.1 He was the son of Sir Charles Henry Collett, 1st Bt. and Lilian Louisa Ionn.2 He married Doreen Frances Alvie Platt, daughter of Sydney Platt, on 21 July 1934.1 He and Doreen Frances Alvie Platt were divorced.1 He died on 15 January 1972 at age 62.1
