     Major Timothy Herbert William Curtis was born on 3 August 1882 at Folkestone, Kent, England.² He was the son of Colonel Charles Herbert Curtis and Frances Edith Pinckney.³ He married Edith Marjorie Kay, daughter of Frederick Aldcroft Kay and Edith Crosland, on 11 January 1913.⁴ He died on 11 June 1966 at age 83 at Little Waltham, Chelmsford, Essex, England.²
