     Teresa Mary Readman was born on 23 June 1947.1 She was also reported to have been born on 23 January 1947.2 She is the daughter of Colonel Alexander George Jeremy Readman and Mary Kay Curtis.3 She married Christopher Charles Lyttelton, 12th Viscount Cobham, son of Charles John Lyttelton, 10th Viscount Cobham and Elizabeth Alison Makeig-Jones, in 1973.3
      Teresa Mary Readman usually went by her middle name of Tessa.3 From 1973, her married name became Lyttelton.3 As a result of her marriage, Teresa Mary Readman was styled as Viscountess Cobham on 13 July 2006.

     Colonel Alexander George Jeremy Readman was born in 1920.2 He was the son of Lt.-Col. John Jeffrey Readman.3 He married Mary Kay Curtis, daughter of Major Timothy Herbert William Curtis and Edith Marjorie Kay, on 10 June 1939.3 He died on 6 August 1973 at Chelmsford, Essex, England.2
     He lived at The Old Rectory, Fairstead, Essex, England.1 He gained the rank of Colonel in the service of the Royal Scots Greys.3 He was decorated with the award of the Companion, Distinguished Service Order (D.S.O.).1

     Mary Kay Curtis was born on 24 July 1917.2 She was the daughter of Major Timothy Herbert William Curtis and Edith Marjorie Kay.2 She married Colonel Alexander George Jeremy Readman, son of Lt.-Col. John Jeffrey Readman, on 10 June 1939.2 She died on 8 January 2007 at age 89.3
      From 10 June 1939, her married name became Readman. She lived in 2003 at 15 Victoria Square, London, England.2

     Major Timothy Herbert William Curtis was born on 3 August 1882 at Folkestone, Kent, England.2 He was the son of Colonel Charles Herbert Curtis and Frances Edith Pinckney.3 He married Edith Marjorie Kay, daughter of Frederick Aldcroft Kay and Edith Crosland, on 11 January 1913.3 He died on 11 June 1966 at age 83 at Little Waltham, Chelmsford, Essex, England.2
     He was educated at Harrow School, Harrow on the Hill, London, England.3 He was educated at Trinity College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England.3 He gained the rank of Major in the service of the 19th Royal Hussars.3 He fought in the Boer War in 1901.3 He fought in the Somaliland campaign in 1908.3 He gained the rank of Major in the service of the East Surrey Militia.3 He fought in the First World War between 1914 and 1915.3 He was Assistant Chief Constable with the War Department Constabulary between 1940 and 1947.3
