     Major Timothy Herbert William Curtis was born on 3 August 1882.3 He is the son of Charles Herbert Curtis and Frances Edith Pinckney.2 He married Edith Marjorie Kay, daughter of Frederick Aldcroft Kay, on 11 January 1913.3 He died on 11 June 1966 at age 83.3
     Major Timothy Herbert William Curtis was educated at Harrow School, Harrow on the Hill, London, England.3 He gained the rank of Major in the service of the 19th Royal Hussars.3 He was educated at Trinity College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England.3 He fought in the Boer War in 1901.3 He fought in the Somaliland campaign in 1908.3 He gained the rank of Major in the service of the East Surrey Militia.3 He fought in the First World War between 1914 and 1915.3 He was Assistant Chief Constable with the War Department Constabulary between 1940 and 1947.3
