     Hon. George Augustus West was the son of Lt.-Gen. Sir John West, 1st Earl De La Warr and Lady Charlotte MacCarthy.1 He married Lady Mary Grey, daughter of Harry Grey, 4th Earl of Stamford, on 24 February 1764.1 He died in 1776, without issue.1

     Lady Mary Grey was the daughter of Harry Grey, 4th Earl of Stamford.1 She married Hon. George Augustus West, son of Lt.-Gen. Sir John West, 1st Earl De La Warr and Lady Charlotte MacCarthy, on 24 February 1764.1 She died on 1 March 1783, without issue.1
     From 24 February 1764, her married name became West.1
