     Jean Eleanora Ewing was the daughter of William Leckie Ewing.² She married Thomas Mantell Fielding, son of Reverend Charles Fielding and Elizabeth Oakley Boyce, on 24 September 1856.¹ She died in May 1898.¹

     Sir Charles William Fielding was born on 4 October 1863.¹ He was the son of Thomas Mantell Fielding and Jean Eleanora Ewing.² He married Florence Dixon, daughter of James Willis Dixon, on 15 August 1899.¹ He died on 9 April 1941 at age 77.¹
     Sir Charles William Fielding was Director-General of Food Production.¹ He was invested as a Knight Commander, Order of the British Empire (K.B.E.) in 1917.¹
