     Frederick Henry Smith, 1st Baron Colwyn was born on 24 January 1859.1 He was the son of Joshua Smith and Elizabeth Whalley.2 He married Elizabeth Ann Savage, daughter of Hamilton Savage, on 3 April 1882.1 He died on 26 January 1946 at age 87.1

     Elizabeth Ann Savage was the daughter of Hamilton Savage.2 She married Frederick Henry Smith, 1st Baron Colwyn, son of Joshua Smith and Elizabeth Whalley, on 3 April 1882.1 She died on 26 January 1945.1
     From 3 April 1882, her married name became Smith. As a result of her marriage, Elizabeth Ann Savage was styled as Baroness Colwyn on 22 June 1917.
