     Amelia Hopkinson was the daughter of Luke Hopkinson and Elizabeth Wrightson.2 She married John Henry Briggs on 27 January 1841.1 She died in 1888.1
     From 27 January 1841, her married name became Briggs.

     General Sir Charles Hopkinson was born on 14 September 1783.1 He was the son of Benjamin Hopkinson and Mary Gresley.2 He died on 17 December 1864 at age 81, unmarried.1
     General Sir Charles Hopkinson was invested as a Companion, Order of the Bath (C.B.) in 1826.1 He was invested as a Knight in 1837.1 He was General of the Artillery in India.1
