     Archibald Douglas, Earl of Moray was the son of James Douglas, 7th Earl of Douglas.2 He married Lady Elizabeth Dunbar, daughter of James Dunbar, 4th Earl of Moray and Janet Seton, from August 1434 to 26 April 1442.3 He died before 1462.1
     Archibald Douglas, Earl of Moray gained the title of Earl of Moray. On 3 July 1445 who took his seat in Parl as Earl of Moray in supposed right of his wife but in reality by virtue of the overpowering ascendancy just then of the DOUGLASes.3
