     Monroe Leland Hayward was born on 22 December 1840 at Willsboro, New York, U.S.A.G.1 He died on 5 December 1899 at age 58 at Nebraska City, Nebraska, U.S.A.G.1
     He graduated from Fort Edward Collegiate Institute, New York, U.S.A.G, in 1865.1 He was a practising lawyer in 1867 at Nebraska City, Nebraska, U.S.A.G.1 He held the office of Judge of the District Court [Nebraska] in 1886.1 He held the office of Senator [U.S.] in 1899, for Nebraska.1 He fought in the American Civil War, in the 22nd Regiment, New York Volunteer Infantry and the 5th Regiment, New York Volunteer Cavalry.1
