     Cahir Mac Art Boy Kavanagh, Baron of Ballyanne, The MacMorrough was the son of Artboy Kavanagh.1 He married Lady Cecilia FitzGerald, daughter of Gerald FitzGerald, 9th Earl of Kildare and Elizabeth Zouche.1 He died after 1554.1
     He lived at Borris, County Carlow, Ireland.1 He was created 1st Lord of Ballyanne, co. Wexford [Ireland] on 8 February 1553, for life.1 He had other sons and a daughter.1
