     Richard Albert Massy was born on 22 February 1840.1 He was the son of John Massy and Alicia Chadwick.1 He married Matilda Minchin, daughter of Captain George Minchin, on 21 April 1869.1 He died on 25 September 1889 at age 49.1
     He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the 60th Rifles.1 He held the office of Resident Magistrate for County Kerry.1 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for County Leitrim.1

     Matilda Minchin is the daughter of Captain George Minchin.1 She married Richard Albert Massy, son of John Massy and Alicia Chadwick, on 21 April 1869.1
     From 21 April 1869, her married name became Massy.1

     Richard Albert Hamon Massy was born on 17 November 1899.1,2 He was the son of George Godfrey Hamon Massy and Florence Caroline Clarke.1 He died on 24 January 1926 at age 26 at Khyber Pass, Afghanistan, by suicide, while temporarily insane.2,3 He was buried on 25 January 1926 at Peshawar Cemetery, Peshawar, Pakistan.3
     He was educated between 1909 and 1917 at Clifton College, Clifton, Bristol, England.2 He was commissioned on 16 December 1918 with the rank of 2nd Lieutenant, in the service of the Indian Army.2 He gained the rank of Lieutenant on 16 December 1924.2 He lived at Kingswell House, County Tipperary, IrelandG.1
