     G/Capt. Geoffrey Francis is the son of Frederick Stewart Francis.2 He married Patience Elinor Salt, daughter of Colonel Sir Thomas Anderton Salt, 2nd Bt. and Elinor Mary Wiggin, on 6 June 1936.3 He and Patience Elinor Salt were divorced in 1947.3
     He gained the rank of Group Captain in the Royal Air Force.1

     From 6 June 1936, her married name became Francis.1

Colonel Sir Thomas Anderton Salt, 2nd Bt.1

     Colonel Sir Thomas Anderton Salt, 2nd Bt. was born on 8 January 1863.2 He is the son of Sir Thomas Salt, 1st Bt. and Emma Helen Mary Anderdon.3 He married Elinor Mary Wiggin, daughter of Sir Henry Arthur Wiggin, 2nd Bt. and Annie Sarah Cope, on 17 January 1905.2 He died on 22 June 1940 at age 77.2
     He was educated at Clifton College, Clifton, Bristol, Gloucestershire, England.1 He was educated at Oriel College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England.1 He was educated at Royal Military College, Sandhurst, Berkshire, England.2 He fought in the West Coast Africa Campaign in 1887, where he was mentioned in despatches.2 He fought in the Punjab Frontier in 1897.3 He gained the rank of Major in the 11th Hussars.3 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Dorset.2 He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) for Staffordshire between 1901 and 1929.1 He fought in the Boer War in 1902.2 He succeeded as the 2nd Baronet Salt, of Standon and Weeping Cross [U.K., 1899] on 8 April 1904.3 He held the office of High Sheriff of Staffordshire in 1909.3 He fought in the First World War, in France, Balkans, Palestine and the Easter Rising.3 He was Lieutenant-Colonel of the 3rd City of London Yeomanry between 1916 and 1918.3 He was awarded the Distinguished Service Order (D.S.O.) in 1917.2
