     Jane McGeorge Duncan is the daughter of Surg. Rear-Adm. David Duncan and Vera McGeorge Payne.1,2 She married Barrie Cavendish-Tribe, son of Captain Albert Frank Cavendish-Tribe and Hon. Winifred Cavendish, on 2 November 1957.1
     She was registered as a State Registered Nurse (S.R.N.)1 From 2 November 1957, her married name became Cavendish-Tribe.1

     Surg. Rear-Adm. David Duncan was born on 21 September 1900.2 He married Vera McGeorge Payne, daughter of James Payne, on 7 September 1933 at Greyfriars Church, Dumfries, Dumfries-shire, ScotlandG.2 He died on 5 February 1974 at age 73.2
     He graduated from Aberdeen University, Aberdeen, Aberdeenshire, ScotlandG, with a Bachelor of Medicine (M.B.)2 He graduated from Aberdeen University, Aberdeen, Aberdeenshire, ScotlandG, with a Bachelor of Surgery (Ch.B.)1 He graduated in 1929 with a Diploma of Public Health (D.P.H.)1 He was malariaologist and hygenist between 1930 and 1938 at SingaporeG.2 He graduated in 1934 with a Doctor of Medicine (M.D.)1 He was Assistant to the Medical Director-General of the Royal Navy between 1939 and 1946.2 He was appointed Officer, Order of the British Empire (O.B.E.) in 1946.1 He was with the staff of the Flag Officer between 1946 and 1948 at MalaysiaG.2 He was appointed Officer, Most Venerable Order of the Hospital of St. John of Jerusalem (O.St.J.) in 1947.2 He was Assistant to the Medical Director-General of the Royal Navy between 1948 and 1950.2 He was Senior Medical officer in Charge of Medical and Hygiene Sections, and Naval MOH of the staff of the Commander-in-Chief, the Nore between 1950 and 1953.2 He was Naval MOH to the Commander-in-Chief, Postmouth Command between 1953 and 1955.2 He was appointed Companion, Order of the Bath (C.B.) in 1957.1 He gained the rank of Surgeon Rear-Admiral in the Royal Navy.1 He lived at White Gates, Chailey, Sussex, EnglandG.1
