     Major Walter Peter Stewart is the son of Charles Stewart.2 He married Jessie Edith Cochrane, daughter of Commander Thomas Erskine Cochrane and Mary Bell-Irving, on 2 December 1912.1 He and Jessie Edith Cochrane were divorced in 1943.1
     Major Walter Peter Stewart gained the rank of Major in the service of the Highland Light Infantry.1 He was decorated with the Companion, Distinguished Service Order (D.S.O.).1

     From 19 August 1950, her married name became Williams. She was invested as a Dame of Grace, Most Venerable Order of the Hospital of St. John of Jerusalem (D.St.J.).1 She lived in 2003 at Llanharan House, Llanharan, Glamorgan, Wales.1
