     Sir Richard Aldworth was the son of Richard Aldworth.1 He married Ellen Poer.1 He died on 21 June 1629, without issue.1
     Between 1610 and 1615 Richard obtained grants of land for settlement at Short Castle, County Cork, Ireland.1 He was appointed to the office of Provost-Marshal of Muster on 3 May 1610.1 He was invested as a Knight circa 1612.1 He held the office of Vice-President of Munster.1

     Richard Aldworth was baptised on 10 August 1596.1 He was the son of William Aldworth.1 He married Anne Mervyn. They had no issue.1
     Richard Aldworth inherited Short Castle from his uncle on 21 June 1629.1 He was confirmed in 1638 as having settled at Newmarket, County Cork, Ireland.1 In 1638 Richard Aldworth was also confirmed as having settled at Ballyhooley, County Cork, Ireland.1

     Sir Richard Aldworth was the son of William Aldworth.1 A settlement for the marriage between him and Martha Travers was made on 21 October 1656.1
     Sir Richard Aldworth lived at Ballyhooley, County Cork, Ireland.1 He lived at Newmarket, County Cork, Ireland.1 He held the office of High Sheriff of County Cork in 1665, and 1666.1 He was a Freeman of Cork in 1666.1 He was invested as a Knight in 1666.1 He held the office of Chief Secretary of Ireland between 27 May 1695 and 1696, an office held between the Lord Deputyship of Henry, Lord Capel and the joint Lord Justiceship of Viscount Blessington and William Worsley, thus making Sir Richard, in effect, the Chief Governor of Ireland.1
