     Lieutenant Francis Alexander was the son of Captain Caledon Du Pré Alexander and Caroline Ewing.1 He married Caroline Mary Tremayne, daughter of Lt.-Col. Arthur Tremayne, on 31 January 1883.1 He died on 5 November 1914.1
     Lieutenant Francis Alexander gained the rank of Lieutenant in the service of the Royal Navy.1

     Caroline Mary Tremayne was the daughter of Lt.-Col. Arthur Tremayne.1 She married Lieutenant Francis Alexander, son of Captain Caledon Du Pré Alexander and Caroline Ewing, on 31 January 1883.1 She died on 29 July 1955.1
     From 31 January 1883, her married name became Alexander.1
