     James Ormiston Andrews was born on 10 April 1846.1 He was the son of Michael Andrews and Eliza Ormiston.1 He married Jane Lamont Carson, daughter of Lamont Carson, on 17 June 1874.1 He and Jane Lamont Carson were separated circa 1885 and he settled with his two elder sons.1 He died on 2 February 1909 at age 62.1
     James Ormiston Andrews was educated at Royal Belfast Academical Institution, Belfast, County Antrim, Ireland.1 He lived at Houston, Texas, U.S.A..1 He was part of the Merchant Service.1 He purchased the Isla de Lechaguana, Argentina, (near Rosanio).1 He sold the Isla de Lechaguana, Argentina, in 1874.1 He returned to Ireland in 1874.1

     Jane Lamont Carson was the daughter of Lamont Carson.1 She married James Ormiston Andrews, son of Michael Andrews and Eliza Ormiston, on 17 June 1874.1 She and James Ormiston Andrews were separated circa 1885 and he settled with his two elder sons.1 She died on 30 August 1940.1
     From 17 June 1874, her married name became Andrews.1
