     James Graham Montgomery was born on 17 August 1913.1 He is the son of William Harold Montgomery and Dorothea Godiva Mann.1 He married, firstly, Andreena Nora Menelaws, daughter of John Forest Menelaws, on 29 April 1952.1 He married, secondly, Nancy Melville Blyth on 13 May 1961.1
     James Graham Montgomery was educated at Rugby School, Rugby, Warwickshire, England.1 His marriage to Andreena Nora Menelaws was annulled in 1955.1
