     2nd Lieutenant George Mervyn Archdale was born on 14 August 1896.1 He was the son of Audley Mervyn Archdale and Mary Scott Elphinstone.1 He died on 30 April 1917 at age 20, killed in action. He was unmarried.1

     Captain George Archdale was born on 27 January 1860.1 He was the son of Reverend Henry Montgomery Archdale and Sarah Elizabeth Blackwood-Price.1 He married Mary Graham, daughter of John Graham, on 28 December 1894.1 He died in August 1938 at age 78.1
