     Major Ben Atkinson was born on 9 January 1872.¹ He was the son of John Atkinson and Mary McClintock.¹ He married Letitia Janet Emily Norman, daughter of E. K. Norman, on 1 January 1903.¹
     He gained the rank of Major in the service of the Royal Horse Artillery.¹ He lived at Ballynewry, County Armagh, Ireland.¹

     Letitia Janet Emily Norman was the daughter of E. K. Norman.¹ She married Major Ben Atkinson, son of John Atkinson and Mary McClintock, on 1 January 1903.¹
      From 1 January 1903, her married name became Atkinson.¹

     E. K. Norman held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.).¹ He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.).¹ He lived at Mistley Lodge, Manningtree, Essex, England.¹

     Rosalind Mary Atkinson was born on 5 November 1904.¹ She was the daughter of Major Ben Atkinson and Letitia Janet Emily Norman.¹

     John Edward Acheson Atkinson was born on 6 March 1909.¹ He was the son of Major Ben Atkinson and Letitia Janet Emily Norman.¹

     Henry Atkinson was the son of Benjamin Atkinson and Mary MacCormac.¹
