Captain Edward Bagwell-Purefoy was born on 25 November 1868.1 He was the son of Captain Edward Bagwell-Purefoy and Charlotte Wilkinson.1 He married Frances Elizabeth Rogers, daughter of John Thornton Rogers, on 24 June 1897.1 He died on 19 November 1960 at age 91.2
