     Sir Daniel Bayley was born on 14 September 1766 at Hope Hall, Eccles, Manchester, Lancashire, England.1 He was the son of Thomas Butterworth Bayley and Mary Leggatt.1 He married, firstly, Eleanor Saffree on 6 November 1790 at St. Petersburg, Russia.1 He married, secondly, Maria Barbara Fock on 24 March 1800.1 He died on 21 June 1834 at age 67.1 He was buried at Tottenham, London, England.1
     Sir Daniel Bayley was educated at Manchester Grammar School, Manchester, Lancashire, England.1 He was educated at Warrington Academy, Manchester, Lancashire, England.1 He was a merchant at St. Petersburg, Russia.1 He was Consul-General to St. Petersburg on 9 October 1812.1 He was invested as a Knight Bachelor on 20 June 1815.1 He was invested as a Knight Commander, Hanoverian Order (K.C.H.).1
