     Barbara Beamish was born on 9 June 1834.1 She was the daughter of Thomas Beamish and Margaret Helen Smyth.1 She married, firstly, Alfred Henry Hannay, son of Captain James Hannay, on 8 December 1859 in a childless marriage.1 She married, secondly, Andrew Scott in a childless marriage.1 She died on 8 August 1908 at age 74.1
     From 8 December 1859, her married name became Hannay.1 Her married name became Scott.1
