Edward Spread Beamish was born on 11 November 1825.1 He was the son of Reverend Henry Hamilton Beamish and Anne Isabella Spread.1 He married, firstly, Elizabeth Dougal, daughter of John Dougal, on 17 April 1860.1 He married, secondly, Diana Spencer Lewin, daughter of Frederick Mortimer Lewin and Augusta Diana Babington, on 3 March 1868.1 He died on 17 April 1892 at age 66.1
