     Major William Adolph Beamish was born on 16 June 1844.1 He was the son of Lt.-Col. North Ludlow Beamish and Aline Marie Forsstrom.1 He married Margaret Murphy, daughter of Thomas Murphy, on 16 September 1881.1 He died on 23 August 1930 at age 86.1
     Major William Adolph Beamish was educated at Cheltenham College, Cheltenham, Gloucestershire, England.1 He was educated at Royal Military College, Woolwich, Kent, England.1 He retired from the military in 1872, with the rank of Major, late of the 31st Foot.1

     Margaret Murphy was the daughter of Thomas Murphy.1 She married Major William Adolph Beamish, son of Lt.-Col. North Ludlow Beamish and Aline Marie Forsstrom, on 16 September 1881.1 She died on 23 April 1897.1
     From 16 September 1881, her married name became Beamish.1
