     Alice Hungerford was born on 17 July 1857.3 She was the daughter of Henry Jones Hungerford and Mary Boone Cowper.1,2 She married, firstly, Francis John Beamish, son of Sampson Beamish and Elizabeth Poole, on 19 June 1877.1 She married, secondly, Kenneth Stuart Hungerford, son of Thomas Hungerford and Emma Hollingsworth Wood, on 8 January 1898.1
     From 19 June 1877, her married name became Beamish.1 She was a poet.3
