     William Stewart Becher was born on 24 June 1869 at Skibbereen, County Cork, IrelandG.2 He was the son of Michael Becher and Mary Stewart.1 He died on 30 July 1916 at age 47 at FranceG, from wounds received in action.2 He was buried at Abbeville Communal Cemtery, Somme, FranceG.2
     He graduated from Dublin University, Dublin, County Dublin, IrelandG, with a Bachelor of Engineering (B.A.I.)2 He was registered as a Associate Member, Institution of Civil Engineers (A.M.I.C.E.) on 10 January 1899.2 He was Assistant to the Welsh Water Scheme for the Corporation of Birmingham.2 He was Resident Engineer for the Ystradfellte Reservoir for the Neath water supply in 1907.2 He fought in the First World War.2 He gained the rank of Private in the 24th Battalion, Royal Fusiliers.2 He was registered as a Member, Institution of Civil Engineers (M.I.C.E.) on 21 April 1916.2

     Charles Frederick Stewart Becher was born on 13 August 1862 at Corriganear, County Cork, IrelandG.1 He was the son of Michael Becher and Mary Stewart.1 He married Countess Maria Viola de Rivas in 1912.1,2 He died on 7 December 1940 at age 78 at Hope Cottage, Bagshot, Surrey, EnglandG.1,3
     He was educated between January 1875 and July 1876 at Royal School of Armagh, College Hill, County Armagh, IrelandG.2 He graduated in 1884 with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)2 He graduated in 1885 with a Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.)2 He was registered as a Associate Member, Institution of Civil Engineers (A.M.I.C.E.) on 13 January 1891.2 He was a Civil Engineer for the London City Council.2

     Eliza Becher was born before 1842.2 She was the daughter of Michael Alleyne Becher and Elizabeth Sherrard.1,2 She married Michael Becher, son of Henry Owen Becher and Ellen Jervois, on 17 April 1879 at County Cork, IrelandG.1,2 She died on 17 June 1920 at Ballyduvane, Clonakilty, County Cork, IrelandG.2

     Elizabeth Sherrard was born circa 1804.1 She was the daughter of David Sherrard.1 She married Michael Alleyne Becher, son of Richard Hedges Becher and Mary Alleyne, on 2 February 1831 at Glanmire Church, Cork, County Cork, IrelandG.1 She died on 10 May 1887 at Ardalla, Ireland.1
     From 2 February 1831, her married name became Becher.1

     Edmund Waldo Meade-Waldo was the son of Edmund Wakefield Meade Waldo.2 He married, firstly, Harriette Emily Becher, daughter of Henry Owen Becher and Ellen Jervois, on 10 January 1854.1 He died on 14 March 1896.1
     He gained the rank of officer in the 1st Life Guards.2 He was also known as Edmund Waldo Meade-Waldo.3 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.)1 He lived at Stonewall Park, Edenbridge, Kent, EnglandG.1 He lived at Hever Castle, Hever, Kent, EnglandG.1
