     Sir Maurice FitzGerald, 1st and last Viscount Decies was born in 1530.2 He was the son of Gerald FitzJohn FitzGerald and Ellice Butler.2 He married Ellen FitzGerald, daughter of Sir John FtizThomas FitzGerald.1 He died on 28 December 1572, without issue.2
     Sir Maurice FitzGerald, 1st and last Viscount Decies gained the title of 1st Viscount Decies.
