     Lord George Robert Tottenham was born on 22 July 1914.1 He was the son of George Leonard Tottenham and Cécile Elizabeth Burra.2 He married Jane Elizabeth Martin, daughter of Arthur Martin, on 7 October 1944.1 He died on 5 August 1975 at age 61.1
     Lord George Robert Tottenham graduated from Queen's University, Kingston, Ontario, Canada, with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.).1 He fought in the Second World War.1 He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Commande in the service of the Royal Navy Reserve.1 He was decorated with the Canadian Decoration (C.D.).1 He gained the rank of Commander in the service of the Royal Canadian Navy.1 He was the head of modern languages at Royal Masonic School, Rickmansworth, Hertfordshire, England.1 He was decorated with the Reserve Decoration (R.D.) in 1969.1 In 1973 he was granted the rank of a marquess's younger son.1
