     Lt.-Col. John Neptune Blood was born on 23 April 1897.1 He was the son of Maurice Blood and Roberta Harriet Jones.1 He married, firstly, Norah Emily Pearson, daughter of William Ezra Pearson.1 He and Norah Emily Pearson were divorced in 1935.1 He married, secondly, Doris Irene M'Whinnie, daughter of Robert William Benjamin M'Whinnie, in February 1958.1 He died on 13 November 1960 at age 63.1
     Lt.-Col. John Neptune Blood was educated at Merchant Taylors' School.1 He was commissioned in 1915, in the service of the Royal Artillery.1 He was educated at Royal Military Academy, Woolwich, Kent, England.1 He was (an unknown value) in 1924.1 He retired from the military in 1944, with the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel, late of the Indian Army.1
