     He gained the rank of Captain in the service of the Royal Irish Rifles.1 He lived at Lord Nelson House, Fingringhoe, Essex, England.1

     He fought in the First World War, with the 16th Irish Division.1 He fought in the Second World War.1 He gained the rank of Major in the service of the Royal Irish Fusiliers.1

     He fought in the First World War, during which he was mentioned in despatches as a Captain with the New Guinea Forces. (This is more likely supposed to be the Second World War based on his birth date.).1 He held the office of Assistant District Officer, New Guinea.1 He was a company director and coffee planter.1 As of 1976, Neptune Newcome Beresford Blood lived at 8 Poinsettia Avenue, Holywell, Queensland, Australia.1
