     Reverend Charles Edward Bowlby was born on 2 December 1833.1 He was the son of Reverend Edward Bowlby and Caroline Randall.1 He married Sophia Louisa Sargeaunt, daughter of Reverend John Sargeaunt, on 1 June 1858.1 He died on 25 September 1893 at age 59.1
     Reverend Charles Edward Bowlby graduated from St. John's College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England, with a Master of Arts (M.A.).1 He was the Rector at Stanford-le-hope, Essex, England.1
