     William Henry Stevens was born in 1858 at Cornwall, England.1 He married Letitia McKeage, daughter of James McKeage and Rose McDowell, in 1893 at The Beach Farm, Lowcliffe, Canterbury, New Zealand.1 He died on 4 April 1936.2 He was buried at Ashburton Public Cemetery, Ashburton, New Zealand.2
     William Henry Stevens has an extensive biographical entry in the William was on the Coldstream Roads Board for 13 years, including a period as Chairman.
