     Donald William Murdoch Bruce was born on 4 October 1905 at Geraldine, New Zealand.2,3 He was the son of William Murdoch Bruce and Susan Donn. He married Rita Isobel Anderson, daughter of William James Anderson and Annie Jane Henderson, on 20 December 1932 at Ashburton, New Zealand.4,5 He died on 17 October 1980 at age 75.6 He was buried at Ashburton Public Cemetery, Ashburton, New Zealand, plot 5278.6
     Donald William Murdoch Bruce was a farmer from 1932 to 1954 at Lowcliffe, Canterbury, New Zealand, A farm of 356 acres, inherited from his father..2
