Alan Bruce Strachan Rennie-Strachan-Carnegie was born on 27 January 1875.1 He was the son of Claud Cathcart Rennie-Strachan-Carnegie and Mary Madeline Breakenridge.1 He died on 6 August 1948 at age 73.1
Alan Bruce Strachan Rennie-Strachan-Carnegie was educated at Charterhouse School, Godalming, Surrey, England.1 He graduated from Trinity College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England, in 1896 with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.).1 He gained the rank of Captain in the service of the Forfar and Kincardine Militia.1 He gained the rank of Captain in the service of the North Scottish, Royal Garrison Artillery.1 He was a practising Advocate in 1902.1
