     Major Nathaniel Duncan Spry Grant-Dalton was born on 24 July 1922.2 He was the son of Lt.-Col. Duncan Grant-Dalton and Gwavas May Spry.1,2 He married Valentia Eveleigh-de Moleyns, daughter of Hon. Francis Alexander Innys Eveleigh-de Moleyns and Norah Caroline Hudson, on 19 September 1950.1 He died on 25 August 2004 at age 82, from a heart attack while walking his dogs.2
     Major Nathaniel Duncan Spry Grant-Dalton was educated at Clifton College, Clifton, Bristol, Gloucestershire, England.2 He was commissioned in 1942, in the service of the Royal Artillery.2 He fought in the Second World War, in the Western Desert and Italy.2 He gained the rank of Major in the service of the Royal Horse Artillery.1 He retired from the military in 1959, with the rank of Major, late of the Royal Horse Artillery.2 He held the office of High Sheriff of Cornwall in 1986.1
